In the Midst of Constant Change, Good Partnerships Remain Stable

Technology truly changes lives, making software and solutions a highly rewarding field in which to work. And each day it seems there’s a new app introduced to make my life just a bit easier. I think it’s true that when it comes to high-tech, change is constant.
More rewarding than change, however, are the longstanding partnerships I’ve been lucky enough to be part of over my 25+ years working in high tech. And it was a privilege to be reminded recently of the loyalty that IBM has demonstrated to Genus Technologies spanning more than two decades.
Back in the 90s, IBM first asked Genus Technologies to design and implement a customized solution using Content Manager for iSeries to strengthen IBM Customer Support Operations. All involved counted the project a resounding success.
That success led IBM Global Finance to call upon Genus to integrate Genus StorageView with Content Manager for iSeries to expand the bandwidth of their file storage system. It was another shared success. But over time, like all technology, the system became obsolete. IBM again turned to Genus Technologies to perform the needed updates.
Now, with the recent announcement that Content Manager has reached the end of its normal lifecycle, IBM Global Finance once again needed a partner to keep its critical platforms up to date. In this case, they needed to move completely off of Content Manager for iSeries and all supporting hardware. Since this system stores many of IBM Global Finance’s financial contracts and supporting documents, the success of this migration is critical.
Guess what? They’ve again called on Genus Technologies for migration expertise for IBM Content Manager for iSeries. We’ll be updating their system to Content Manager Enterprise Edition to keep this critical functionality up to date while enhancing the user-experience.
IBM has a lot of great business partners to choose from, so their continued loyalty to Genus Technologies remains truly gratifying.
