Genus Technologies Moves into New Minneapolis Headquarters
May 2, 2016
MINNEAPOLIS, May 2, 2016 – Genus Technologies, a Premier partner of IBM and a Kofax Diamond partner, today announced its move from Edina, Minn., to expanded headquarters in the historic Renaissance Square building in downtown Minneapolis. The move is effective immediately.
“Thanks to amazing customers, great partners in IBM and Lexmark, and a world-class team, Genus has sustained significant growth over the past several years,” said Genus partner Dave Fetters, who oversees operations. “The new headquarters gives us over 60% more space in which to grow. A more efficient floorplan gives us a highly collaborative space powered by the latest technology that will make us even more productive.”
“Equally important to finding a larger and more efficient footprint, was the opportunity to offer enhanced facilities and amenities attractive to our growing team,” said Genus partner Alex Makovetsky, who oversees sales and marketing for Genus. “We chose one of the most vibrant areas of Minneapolis to give our team easy access to the richest mix of retailers, restaurants and other amenities. Plus, the office reflects our philosophy of playing as hard as we work. We purposely included a professional-grade ping-pong table as a focal point of our lobby to emphasize this point.”
The Renaissance Square building dates to 1899, making it one of Minneapolis’ oldest. However, with major renovations recently completed, Renaissance Square offers the conveniences of a world-class office building, while its classic architecture pays homage to its historic past. Its location, at the intersection of Nicollet Mall and Fifth Street, places it at the center of public transportation options and the pedestrian-friendly retail spine of downtown Minneapolis.
